Born in Texas, raised in Florida and Alabama, So is a gender-bending songwriter from the deep South. Equally at home on piano, guitar or drums, So's songs carry a melancholy love of the natural world a la Tom Waits, or even Skip James. So currently resides in Brooklyn.
